Update: It Sings! It Blinks! It Smokes!
8/16/07 >> This went from seven mouth versions to twenty, and I found that increasing the frame rate made it much easier to sync with the sounds. Also I figured out to swap the mouth just BEFORE the sound happens, otherwise the drawings feel like they are lagging behind the sound.

8/8/07 >> Here's what I have so far -- just a character sketch. Now I need some sound, and to figure out how to make the smoke animate:

Practice: Lip Syncing in Flash
Here's my first attempt at making a character speak:

I used a .wav file of a voicemail that I happened to have (thanks, Jennie!). Now I need another way to generate my own sound files.
